The Regional Preschool Partnership is a voluntary collaboration of the agencies providing state and federally funded preschool services. All partner agencies are committed to supporting families and ensuring that every preschool child enters kindergarten ready to learn.  These programs offer a high quality preschool experience.

GREAT START READINESS PROGRAM (GSRP) 


GREAT START READINESS PROGRAM (GSRP)

The Michigan Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) is a state funded preschool program for 4-year-old children. In Midland County, GSRP preschool programs are part of the Midland County Quality Preschool Partnership, a voluntary collaboration of agencies that provide state and federally funded preschool services. GSRP classrooms implement Teaching Strategies Gold, a developmentally appropriate and research based curriculum approved by the Michigan Department of Education. Children can attend half day or full day sessions at a variety of locations around Midland County.

NORTHEAST MICHIGAN COMMUNITY SERVICE AGENCY (NEMCSA) HEAD START PRESCHOOL

Head Start is funded through the Federal Department of Health and Human Services to provide quality, comprehensive preschool services to children and their families. NEMCSA provides programs at 90 locations in 21 counties In Michigan and is geographically the largest Head Start program in the United States, serving 198 children in Midland County alone.  In addition to preschool, Head Start is a family focused program whose mission is to “Provide high quality, supportive learning experiences for children and families to promote their future success”.

The Midland County program works in partnership with the Midland County Quality Preschool Partnership, Midland County ESA and other local agencies to provide services to low income at risk families and to maximize all available resources within our community.
