Congratulations to MCESA Early Childhood Special Education Teacher Mrs. Erin Rey who was awarded the 2024 Golden Apple Award. A number of Erin's family members, classroom parents, and colleagues from Bullock Creek and MCESA showed up to Bullock Creek Elementary on Friday, Dec. 13 when she was surprised with the award.
She was nominated by a parent who stated that Erin is "the epitome of inclusivity" and "creates a safe place for children to learn and grow."
Others at the celebration referred to Erin as having a "heart of gold" and "spreading glitter wherever she goes."
The Golden Apple Award is presented by Mid-Michigan NOW and the Lee Steinberg Law Firm to educators who go above and beyond for their students.
