Local Students Invited to Explore Career Paths Through Midland Summer CTE Camps
Midland County Educational Service Agency (MCESA) is excited to announce four hands-on Summer Career and Technical Education (CTE) Camps launching this season, offering students the opportunity to explore exciting career pathways and build valuable skills for the future.
Open to middle and high school students, each camp will focus on a different in-demand field:
What's on the Menu? Culinary Arts Camp: Dive into the fast-paced world of professional kitchens and learn essential cooking techniques, food safety, connections to agriculture, and meal preparation from industry experts - in partnership with Coleman Regional Agriscience Center.
Scrub Life: Healthcare Camp: Discover the fundamentals of patient care, medical terminology, and healthcare careers through interactive simulations and guest speakers - in partnership with Central Michigan University, Davenport University, and MyMichigan Health.
Starting at Square One - Basic Skilled Trades Camp: Gain hands-on experience in foundational trades like carpentry, electrical, and plumbing—ideal for those curious about construction and craftsmanship, in partnership with the Greater Michigan Construction Academy.
Level Up - Advanced Skilled Trades Camp: Designed for students with prior experience or strong interest in technical fields, this camp will focus on welding, advanced construction trades - in partnership with the Greater Michigan Construction Academy.

Space is limited and varies by each camp. Scholarships are available. Registration is open until Monday, May 19.
