It definitely feels like the first day of fall in Michigan this morning! We are starting to notice some leaves already changing on the beautiful maple tree outside of the Sugnet building. Happy fall!
Transition Coordinator, Jennie Coston, shared that she has always heard about how successful the MCESA Midland High popcorn stand/delivery is, and she finally got to witness it in action last Friday! She noted that MCESA teacher, Sarah Tebo, said that students are able to partner with their peers when selling, too. Popcorn Fridays for the win!

This great team photo was shared by MCESA Teacher, Rod Dishaw, with this message: "At MCESA we love our paraprofessionals! Today we celebrated our room “mother” Ms. Vicky’s birthday. MCESA Teacher, Rod Dishaw, gave us a glimpse into the classroom today with this note: "Students in our Jefferson classroom have been taking care of a new pet! The African cichlid is named Temple, after the famous Temple Grandin, who is a vocal and influential proponent of ethical and humane treatment of animals. Grandin is also a world recognized advocate for those living with autism, including writing numerous articles and books on the topic. Welcome to middle school, Temple!"
