Midland County Great Start Collaborative is offering a Conscious Discipline for Families Program this month via Zoom! This three-part series teaches effective discipline techniques and so much more. An in-person option will also be available in March. For full details, view the flyer below.

On Thursday, January 27, Governor Whitmer's office announced that the Michigan Department of Health & Human Services will distribute 10 million free KN95 masks to Michiganders. The Midland County Health Department will be at the Midland Mall this Saturday, January 29 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. offering COVID and flu vaccines. Those who participate will receive a voucher for a free book from Barnes & Noble.

Winter break is just around the corner! MCESA programs will be closed for the holidays beginning the afternoon of Wednesday, December 22 and will resume on Monday, January 3.
Congratulations to MCESA Autism Spectrum Teacher, Dawn Totten, who was recently announced as a 2021-22 recipient of a MAASE mini grant. Totten submitted a mini grant for an employment work skills cart that will allow ASD programs to work on pre-employment and specific subtask job skills within high school classrooms. Totten teaches at Dow High School.
