Transition Coordinator, Jennie Coston, shared these photos yesterday of our new TRAILS stations as well as our MCESA students in the PAES (Practical Assessment Exploration System) Lab working hard on vocational skills led by one of our paraprofessionals. It is always great to see the diligent work of the MCESA students and staff in action!

"Let us remember: One book, one pen, one child, and one teacher can change the world." This quote from Malala Yousafzai captures the value of literacy and education perfectly on this International Literacy Day. #InternationalLiteracyDay #mcesabettertogether

As a reminder, MCESA programs are closed Friday, Sept. 2 and Monday, Sept. 5. Have a safe and enjoyable holiday weekend.

Thanks to MCESA Director of Special Education, Michelle Bahr, for sharing this team photo from the Michigan Association of Administrators of Special Education Summer Institute. Michelle says: "Another MAASE Conference is coming to an end. We spent time with 710 other special education colleagues, with the same goal of providing quality services to the special education students in Michigan. It is an honor and a privilege to be a part of this community along with my fellow co-workers!"

Appreciation post for our Special Education administrators who are learning at the Michigan Assoc. of Administrators of Special Education Summer Institute this week! We are thankful for their continuous work to lead, innovate, and serve for the students in Midland County and the State of Michigan.
