Tomorrow kicks off Holiday Open House in Downtown Midland! During this event, shoppers can admire and register to win uniquely decorated holiday wreaths from businesses like this one pictured that has puzzle pieces that were designed by MCESA Post Secondary students. Our students had a great time making this and enjoyed participating. You can find this fun wreath at Pizza Baker, LLC. #mcesabettertogether

The students in Mr. Dishaw’s classroom recently conducted a mock student election with many of the classrooms at MCESA. The students learned that voting is a private choice that we are fortunate to make. They used the results to construct a pictograph as a way to display the data collected. After the election, the students are going to compare the results of the election with their own ESA results.

Patty Killey who is an MCESA Teacher Consultant for the Visually Impaired shared these great photos today of two students walking side-by-side. Killey said that one student, serving as a mentor, gently guides through the process of navigating their environment while using the white cane, focusing on safely crossing streets. The picture captures a moment of shared learning, highlighting the importance of mentorship and independence for individuals who are visually impaired. #mcesabettertogether
